• Reach: search for the handle while logged out. If recent posts do not appear in search, the account may be limited.
• Audience: check that followers are real accounts and match the niche. Many followers with no profile picture or posts are a bad sign.
• Phone number: make sure the seller can remove their number, so it can be replaced with yours.

How the handover works

After you pay into escrow, the login arrives through the secure card in the deal chat. Change the email, password and phone number, set up your own two-factor authentication and log out all other sessions in Settings. Confirm only when the account is fully yours.

A paid verification checkmark does not come with the account. It belongs to the subscriber, and changing the handle or display name removes it until X reviews the account again. X's rules do not allow accounts to be sold, so an account can be limited later.

What affects the price

Short handles and dictionary words sell for the most. After that, age and follower quality matter. An account from 2010 with 5,000 real followers in a niche is usually worth more than a newer one with 50,000 inactive followers. X also runs its own marketplace for some inactive handles, which is limited to certain subscribers.
